Executive summary
FieldEdge is field service management software built for HVAC, plumbing and electrical contractors, and it is aimed squarely at multi-truck operations. Its reputation rests on two things: a two-way QuickBooks integration (Online and Desktop) and solid tools for service agreements, flat-rate pricing and dispatch. FieldEdge says it has 40 years of experience in the trade and more than 40,000 users.
The trade-offs are just as clear: pricing is quote-only, there is no free trial, and plans run on a contract term. It suits an established shop that knows what it needs, less so an owner-operator who wants to sign up and start today.
Our verdict: FieldEdge is a strong choice for established, QuickBooks-centric HVAC companies with several trucks that want agreements and flat-rate pricing done properly. Smaller shops will usually get more value, faster, from Housecall Pro or Jobber.
Our rating: 4.2 / 5. If FieldEdge fits your profile, request a FieldEdge demo.
Quick verdict: who FieldEdge is for
| Best for | Established multi-truck HVAC shops that run their books in QuickBooks |
| Not ideal for | Owner-operators who want instant self-serve signup and public pricing |
| Pricing | Quote-based, after a demo (three plans: Select, Premier, Elite) |
| Free trial | No; onboarding is done with FieldEdge's team |
| Our rating | ★ 4.2 / 5 |
What FieldEdge does for an HVAC shop
- Call booking, scheduling and dispatch: every plan includes call booking, work orders and a dispatch board. Premier and Elite add advanced dispatching.
- Pricebook and flat-rate pricing on every plan, so techs quote consistent prices in the field.
- Service agreements: basic on Select, advanced on Premier and Elite. This is where recurring maintenance revenue lives.
- Customer and equipment history: techs can see service history, equipment details, agreements and billing from the mobile app.
- QuickBooks Online and Desktop integration on every plan, to avoid double data entry.
- Integrated payments and invoicing completed on site.
- Integrated SMS texting, reminders and automated alerts on every plan.
- Optional modules: Proposal Pro (sales proposals), MarketingEdge (marketing with two-way texting) and a consumer management portal. They are included in Elite and can be added to Select and Premier.
FieldEdge plans and pricing (2026)
FieldEdge does not publish prices. You book a demo, and the quote depends on team size and the add-ons you choose. What each plan includes, per FieldEdge's pricing page:
| Plan | Positioning | Key inclusions |
|---|---|---|
| Select | "All the essential tools" | Dispatching, booking and scheduling, basic agreements, single-option quotes, pricebook and flat rate, QuickBooks, payments, 2 mobile app licenses |
| Premier (most popular) | Established multi-truck operations | Everything in Select, plus advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, advanced service agreements, prospect tracking, performance and commission tracking, 10 saved reports, 4 mobile licenses |
| Elite | Large multi-truck companies | Everything in Premier, plus unlimited saved reports, outbound call recording, Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge with two-way texting, warehouse inventory management, consumer management portal, 6 mobile licenses |
Support also scales with the plan: chat on Select, email and phone on Premier, and a dedicated customer success representative on Elite. Upgrades are possible at any time; downgrades take effect at the end of your contract period.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Two-way QuickBooks integration (Online and Desktop) on every plan
- Service agreements, flat-rate pricebook and dispatch designed around HVAC work
- Customer and equipment history available to techs in the field
- Onboarding team migrates your data and trains your staff
Cons
- No public pricing: you need a demo to get a number
- No free trial, and plans run on a contract term
- Phone support and multi-option quotes start at Premier, and the marketing and proposal tools at Elite (or as paid add-ons)
- Mobile licenses are capped per plan (2, 4 or 6), so check the cost of extra techs
FieldEdge vs. the alternatives
- Housecall Pro: public pricing from $59/month (billed annually), a free trial and a faster start. Better for small residential teams.
- ServiceTitan: deeper reporting and marketing attribution for large operations, at a much higher cost.
- Service Fusion: public pricing, month-to-month plans and unlimited users. A good alternative if you are adding office staff.
- Jobber: lowest entry price; less HVAC-specific depth.

Who should (and shouldn't) buy it
Buy it if you run several trucks, your accounting lives in QuickBooks, and service agreements and flat-rate pricing are central to how you sell. Skip it if you are a one- or two-person shop that wants to start this week without a sales call, or if you want to compare published prices first.
How we evaluated FieldEdge
We assessed FieldEdge from its published plan and feature details, its pricing and support terms, and how well its feature set matches day-to-day HVAC work (booking, dispatch, agreements, flat-rate quoting, accounting). We have not run a paid FieldEdge account; if you use it, tell us what we got wrong. No vendor paid for placement. See our methodology.

Verdict
FieldEdge is a serious, HVAC-focused platform with an accounting integration that many contractors choose it for. If you are an established multi-truck shop on QuickBooks, it deserves a demo. Smaller teams that want transparent pricing and a free trial are better served elsewhere. Request a FieldEdge demo →
